Can anyone give me some advice, my boyfriend has been trying to opt-out of CTC for 7 weeks and they won't let him leave. I am worried that he may do something stupid in his efforts to be released. Is there any legal angle I can pursue to help him get out asap.
Thanks
Julia

Don't do anything stupid is the way to do it. There are rules to work to, and your boyfriend will have signed a binding contract which legal. If he truley wants to leave he simple needs to request to see his Wing Sgt/Maj.

It is also worth noting that most people who wish to leave do so either because they are falling behind and are under preasure from the training team to improve, won't keep up and have given in, or are under preasure from their girlfriend because they don't see him any more or that he is changing and she doesn't like it...

Lastly there is a building accross from the Sgt's Mess where the Welfare Office sits all day - he is even on the phone. If your boyfriend seriously wants out tell him to pop into the welfare.
