Just heard that former RM and Photographer Basil Kidd died last Monday, most guys who were trained at Deal would have had troop/section or "me" phots taken by Basil at some stage..

Still got an album with [mainly] photos by Basil M. Kidd in it.

And hung on the wall of my study is a 2ft x 1ft 6" firescreen made up of a stencil cut-out of the Corps Crest, with metal foil providing the colour. A rabbit for my mum. Typical of the stupid things 16yr old wannabees buy - Basil knew his market!! :-?

Cheap, but it still looks good after 43 years! (3rd April 1965)
