Hi
Joined the RAF Regiment last March and came out of training after only a month.
I want to go back in to the RAF but perhaps as an engineer or firefighter but have to wait a year, just wondering if anyone has any knowledge of it being more difficult to get in to the service the second time around?
Regards
Jace

You will need to convince the interviewer that you understand what your mistake was last time, and what is different this time. You will have to be absolutely clear about what it is you want to do, so do your research before even going back to the AFCO, in order to prove to them that this is what you really want, you've thought about it, and you're certain.
Use the time wisely between now and then - you want a good balance of work, sports and social life that you can use to show them how you've grown up since leaving.
Is there a RAF base near you that you can contact to ask if you can visit the fire section etc. to find out more about what they do?

You can have peace.
Or you can have freedom.
Don't ever count on having both at once.
