Waffen SS Camouflage

Hello
The waffen SS were an organization that made great use of camouflage clothing.

We can see, from left to right, an autumn, a summer and a winter outfit of the Totenkopf division of the waffen SS

My point...? to start a discussion about an issue of military History: the use of camouflage, particularly in the Waffen SS, who made an extensive use of it.

Yes, apprently black and white face paint is very effective. Goes well when hiding in front of a zebra. Althought I don't think they had a choice in those days, everything is black and white, it was hard to know who was colour blind. If you went to a farm you didn't know if you were looking at a horse or a cow.

The Waffen SS & FJ's had the best camouflages ever, Even today they still would be effective.

Really, even today? And you base that opinion on what? The inaccurate drawings in the link above? Can you explain to me the principles of camouflage and concealment? Why things are seen?
Waffen SS cam was good at the time but it wouldn’t get a spot on "Stars in Their Eyes" these days.
