Just been trying to catch up with everybody's posts whilst I'm on leave. Rather difficult given Doc's ebullient and numerous posts! Is there anything pertinent I've missed from the last 7 weeks that I should catch up on (I've heard of Mike Baldwin's passing away, but little else).
Good to see that there are still a number of young gentlemen willing to feed themselves to Harry and Artist - rather them than me

I'm in quite a jolly mood myself, having found out that I'm joining the branch of my choice, phase 3 training commences next year!

Of course I loves ya Doc, and Dartmouth was conquered in the whole of 7 weeks. Nearly vomited on HRH The Duke of York though at the Passing Out Parade. Have found out that I am going to be a MO(SM) in the New Year. Prior to that I have to do a stint in A&E at Birmingham.
Went through Dartmouth with a Chaplain who was an MA in a previous incarnation. You appear to be rather mad people, if you'll excuse me for saying so!

Also got to see the RM Band for the first time at the Parade, then on Friday at the Dartmouth Easter Ball. Bloody impressive, especially the Corps of Drums.

Right, I'm off out to spread the good word about the RN. And have a few drinks.

CTC though? I already have the physique of a submariner! And the last time I even mentioned marine a Major sprung out of the background ready to press me. When I politely repeated 'it was submarine sir' he nearly filled me in

On a more serious note, they've filled their quota for MOs to go to CTC, so I'd be waiting at least 2 years to get there. In fact, maybe that's enough time to whittle away the flab and sculpt myself...
Wouldn't mind working with Royal , as Royal were a very notable breath of fresh air at Dartmouth, crazy buggers.
