To all who gave me advice on how to help my boyfriend leave CTCRM, thank you. Through a lot of nagging, which we women are good at, he will be coming home on Friday. I hope that nothing I said will discourage others from joining the Royal Marines. If you never try it for yourselves, you will never know if it is for you or not. It just wasn't right for John, but at least he knows that now because he tried it. If he hadn't he would have always wondered. Thank you again.

Thank you
I don't mean to be nasty but, I hope John left because he truly believed this was not for him and not because you're a good nagger. Nothing wreaks a relationship more than being told "you were the one that held me back". I've been on both sides of basic train and it's not just the strength of the candidate that gets them through it's the strength of the loved ones waiting on the otherside. Good luck to you both with your decisions.

I have to agree with sandy. I can remember someone who left due to pressue many years ago, they split up after four months and he was back in the following year to do it all again. He'd done three months.
So I do hope it was all for the right reasons, get him to drop us a line some time he could find benefits in staying in touch ...
