I'm no neo-con Sisyphus. I'm no liberal. I just think school has a collectivist slant, a few instructors even admit communism is a grand idea.
Ask our Russian exchange students that though.

I think communism/socialism is a grand idea too. The trouble is it goes against a few million years of evolution and just won't work in a human society.

Even where it's been tried some end up 'more equal than others' - usually immediately after the 'coup' has taken place. Doesn't take long for the 'law of the jungle' to kick in.

I'm saying I dislike Communism, collectivism, socialism, tribalism, egalitarianism, liberals, and their counterpart with a deceptive name Neo-Conservatives. Democracy is also nothing but marketable socialism.
These are the governments of the lazy. True government of the free man is self government, as the USSR found out and as we find out when not distracted by shock and awe news stories and slash cut prices on motorized plastic devices.
Truth is man is supposed to be a farmer, and a hunter when needed. Man isn't as complex as we want to think, nor is his ability to be satisfied. Give a man some land and the know how on how to work it, and you'll find a happier man. I've been alot of things, a sailor, a soldier, a fanatic of some sort or the other, a nurse, cook(Was almost as fun as farming), and a few other things and now a student. Farming and a little bit of the word every now and then balances man with nature and allows man to be free in the true sense.
In the end blows will decide, and then things will be calm for a time, but nothing last's forever, especially anything man makes.

Aldo,

Certainly not. Another thread gone off thread. I asked whitey on another thread of his concept of an 'ideal world'. Seems we've got it - at last.

Most conspicuously missing from his 'list' is anarchism. So now we have it. 'Democracy is marketable socialism' I wonder which Anarchist first spoke those words :-?

He really does undermine his polemic with a quite amazing lack of reality. 'Truth is man is supposed to be a farmer, and a hunter when needed.' Well there's another classic [sorry, that should be 'gross'] misreading of our evolutionary history. :(

'Man' was a hunter-gatherer. We developed agriculture when hunter-gatherer groups came together in larger groupings and agriculture became necessary. So, actually, we're supposed to be hunter-gatherers, and a farmer when necessary.

But, hey, whitey, let's not FACTS get in the way of delusion. :banghead:

Evolution of man, sure sounds good, get it in fast forward, it worked for the dinosuars.
Anarchy? Not hardly, just limited government. Democracy is rule of the mob(socialism), the government of the mediocre not freedom. Strict Constitutionalism and Republicanism is the key. Not to be confused with the Republican party, they are not hardly for the republic.
Can you not see these strange global changes? Your St. Andrew Flag under attack, our Confederate as well at the same time? PC at the same time? Our politicians bending over and giving reach arounds to eachother to the point of sickness? Your Queen/Monarchy under scruitny and our Constitution hanging in the balance. Coincidence? Our school teachers professing that Marx, Jefferson and King were made from the same sheet of fabric, that everyone is responsible for everyone else. Illegal immigration and the govt.'s seem complicit with this infarction. That we must do "Something" all the time or whenever something happens. Like I said on 9/11 I didn't feel like a New Yorker, I thought it was a bad thing it happened and all, but I knew under it all, who ever was doing this had nothing against the average dick slaving in countryside or smaller cities scratching out a living, they were obviously pissed at our policies doled out from the real capital of the US. I've never even been to NY and could careless to go. Maybe it was as OBL said, an attack on Semetic wealth in the US. Naw, it was cause they hate freedom.
See where mediocre politics and idiotic foriegn policy gets you?(Them)
Keep on rocking in the free world. Johnny Rotten was funny though wasn't he. :laola: Isn't this fun?

I only say stay away from the EU because I can see down the road, we will fight them. Two empires cannot exist without fighting, directly or indirectly. I think Iraq was the first war fought against this new foe for economic reasons. Like Vietnam was a war of Soviet and Chinese containment this was a push to rid the world of a prick, but ultimately deny EU of a commodity to base their economy on. I think it a shame our oldest friend has turned on us, but it would be worse to have to do battle with our own kin across the mud puddle. Our hegemony like hegemony's of the past create these rival competitions. This would be fine, but corporations will eventually grow impatient and demand more for the dollar, and the corporate boys in the EU will do the same, and then some life changing emotional event will happen and American and European boys will be at it, or well have the same deal as we had during the cold war. What can you do though? I hope my professors and my intuition are wrong. I'd like to see a closer relationship between the UK, US, Aus, Canada and Nz. That would be cool, and we all talk the same language, and have the coolest gadgets.

I don't think we will have a choice, we will either fight the EU or we will fight the USA or else the EU will fight the USA and we will be caught in the crossfire. I doubt even that we would be able to stay neutral because I'll bet the USA will want its unsinkable aircraft carrier.
Swift and bold.
