Chemical warfare training in RAF
Chemical warfare training in RAF
Hi, I am after information on the Chemical training done in the RAF. I was in the Australian Air Force in the 90's and did an exchange duty with the RAF in 1993. During that time at Brize Norton I took part in some sort of Chemical warfare training where you were 'suited up' and went into a gas chamber with different sections in it. You moved through removing a piece at a time whilst saying your Name Rank and Service no. Can anyone help me to find out what gas is used?? Many thanks

I have done this with the Police, our trainer is a former Royal, we use CS, he said it is the same thing the military use. My brother did his basic at Halton about 18 months maybe 2 years ago, they used CS in their CBRN training.

Have never been subjected to anything other than CS, but only been in 5 1/2 years.
Can't imagine it would have been anything else, if you were expected to be breathing it in!

You can have peace.
Or you can have freedom.
Don't ever count on having both at once.
