I have booked my Apptitude Test and i take it on the 2nd of September! I'm feeling fairly confident about it athough in did take the advice of a friend and visited the GCSE Bitesize website to brush up on the basic's! (Seen as i took my GCSE's 6 Years ago!)
I was just pondering, all being well, after the 'Test' how long will it be before i take my PGAC? I would like to know what month I would be looking at although it's understandable if no one really knows. Its mainly due to me wanting to organise how to get down there. I was going to ask a friend to drive down but do you think I would be best getting the train? After all I am (Hopefully) going to be travelling down to Honington from the sunny sea-side resort of Liverpool.
Any feedback is appriciated.
Thanks.

I think I will be booking the week off work to be honest! Can't imagine how tired I am going to be when/if i get back
I'm tired going into work now mate and thats through training out of my own free will, I dare wonder what i'll be like after a PTI beasting me for a few days! (No homosexual pun intended!)
And oddly enough i'm looking forward to it!

I shall take that as a compliment gpw2009...
Goose87 - You will get a rail warrant, but you won't get anything for taking time off work. If you pass your aptitude test etc. then travel details should all be included in your joining instructions.
You can have peace.
Or you can have freedom.
Don't ever count on having both at once.

Yeah your right mate the PGAC is the one thing that the AFCO 'warned' me about. Saying that in previous months its been getting harder and that preparation is everything.
I'm currently sticking to a five day fitness regime thats got a mixture of everything from running to lifting wieghts. A friend of mine is training for his Potential Officer's Training for the Royal Marines so hopfully if i'm keeping up with him I should be ok. I think.
Thanks anyway mate

Of course....
Can't wait to get to Catterick, with ALL Infantry recruits, and ALL Male training staff (not that I would ever think of looking at a member of the training staff like that! )
Guess it's the NAAFI or bust!

Aye good luck too, make sure you eat your weetabix!
Three of my mates have joined the Marines and its definatley hard work! They were on at me to join up with them but i wanted something different plus i have wanted to join the RAF for as long as i can remember. I think to do well in the Marines you have to REALLY want it. My mates were telling me that they dont look at it from a career or challenge point of view they just want that green beret, and I think if you go in with that mind set you will do really well.
Thanks i'll be on the brain-food all week i think!

I waited about 6 weeks from test and then medical and agin to PGAC, and believe me use the time well in regards to training, as it is tough (for obvious reasons). Good luck.
