i have not long applied myself now mate (about a week) but i got an email saying that i will have my first interview at my nearest careers office as soon as.
If you have a little read round the forum it can range between 4 months and 6 months depending on what trade you are looking into doing.
I have applied for the regiment myself so i am guessing that it shouldnt take too long to go through the process, where as say for instance an intelligence or pilot would take longer i would imagin.
A word of advice from a friend who is currently training to become a Royal Marines Commando Officer said that its not such a bad thing for the process to be spread over a couple of months because preperation is a big part of why people dont pass the PGAC(or what ever fitness assesmen)/Basic training. Just try and be patient and challenge yourself every week in order to become physicly and mentally ready for what ever theare going to trow at you.

Best of luck fella :)
