'whereas those whose words towards John Urwin were venomous and accusing showed little sign of eloquence,no intelligence and reavealed themselves to have a typical british squaddie attitude and are therefore all full of shit !
To those who have been fortunate enough to visit John, how much does it cost?

iv had a few ciders and to be honest find this offensive. so to have an opinion and show it forthwith makes you 'full of shot' well iv been out round shot with my airborne uncles and it aint shit (its an experience, and its groovy). and so what if were full of shit. in my world plain speakin and honesty prevail over office politics, arse rimming and back slapping buddy no mating your way to an extra pat on the head from ze boss. what im saying is your obviously pigeon holing people by such broad statement swings so lay off, we aint all ruperts full off eloquence and granduer

Daniel,
An introduction would have been good before frothing at the mouth at a respected member.
This is a VERY old thread which I watched with a little interest  at the time of it's conception.
If you and Gun's want to go at it then take it off the forum.
All here are peaceful little critters who want nothing more than a pension and a retirement cottage somewhere else :D

How many Hammer Horror movies were you in?

Sadly my pre-adoptive surname is Wholley.
My post-adoptive one is even worse :o

Is that post adoptive or post operative? :-? :)
There is no fear, there is only the force.

Do or do not, there is no try.

In one of your previous you got one thing right.
I am an American(Not a Yank before anyone starts)
North Carolina National Guard and a retired Sheriff's Lt.are my only claims to fame.CQC is part of Federal BLET but by the nature of the job it's reactive and defensive as opposed to aggressive.

I'll back off now while you and Gun's play kissy-face :D
Just remember........NO TONGUES :P

I ask myself that same question a lot.
Maybe it's because I was born just outside Colchester but have spent the majority of my life in the US.As to moderating,I'm not real sure how it happened but in the back of my mind I'm certain I got mugged 8)
And I do not sit in front of a computer monitor all day as some would have you believe, why just the other day I took the dog out :D

Guys, just thought I'd share my experience meeting John Urwin 2 days ago.
I went to meet him for various reasons but obviously wanted to experience 'The Machine' first hand, and I can tell you I wasn't disppointed!
Let me explain... I am 6'1, a good 13 stone and have been in the British Army for nearly 7 years (infantry), with various tours under my belt. I have also come across quite a few martial arts, and have trained, sparred and fought in them.
John is 5'7, stocky, and a young looking 72 years old. 72.
So when he started moving and showed me a few things, how he could break my arm and neck in less than a second, how you could be on the floor and literally not know what happened, to say that I was impressed would be an understatement.
The bloke is 72!! (If anyone didn't catch that :) )
I know he wasn't even moving as fast as he could, but the speed, power and precision were amazing. I have seen photos to back up his story, but as far as I'm concerned, John is living proof that people shouldn't judge what they havnt seen.
I'm happy to answer any questions (if I can).
