Life as an Admin Officer?

Post by anna1 »

Dear all...

I'm just after a bit of a heads up on the actualities of life as an Admin Officer in the RAF?? As in what would I actually do? How physical would it be, would PT be part of my day to day or would I have to do it in my own time? If I was to get into Cranwell how physical is it there?

I have just come back from a familiarisation visit at Winchester for life as an SPS Officer in the Army, prior to going I was pretty set on the RAF...but now I'm pretty swung to the Army. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and got offered sponsorship-yay! I also realised how important all the physical aspects were to me and the huge amount of variety in the job opportunities...I really want to make the best informed choice that I can and I feel a bit confused about which would be best for me! Any insight would be hugely appreciated!!

Thanks

Are you asking about all the phys as you love phys and worried about not doing it or are you worried as you are fat and sweaty and worried about wheezing around a bft circuit every morning?

Past training phys is mainly your own concern until annual test, RAF phys? Do they have it? Having to walk to the canteen is enough to worry about isnt it lol

I am a bit of a phys geek (as in I love it) and just want to find out as much as poss to make sure I make the right decision! I realise that phys is only one part of the whole job....and there are many, many other reasons as to why I want to join!!
