2 Week CIC Catterick????

Post by gt1980 »

Just had our breifing about our training and it was mentioned that If we go to catterick to do our CIC then it turns into 2 weeks of being beasted. Anyone got any experience of this and able to give any insight of whats to be expected. I know it'll be hard but they've made sound like hell :o

Alright mate Iv passed out of CIC not long ago altho I did mine up in Inverness so I dont really know how it is compared to doing CIC down at Catterick altho I had heard from a few of the guys that has been on both and have stated that Catterick was abit easier than how we got it up Inverness.
From experience the first day you get there you get a pft and a weapons handling test which you need to pass inorder to stay.
then the next few days will be very hard getting beasted and running to and from places, think its to get rid of the people who dont want to be there.
After the first 4-5 days it starts to be abit more realaxed than the first few days you are there.
You get the usual training such as battle awareness etc, shooting on the ranges, baynonet fighting and from experience you get 2 exercises the first 1 was more like a revision on how to live in the field etc and then the 2nd exercise is your final 1 which should include section attacks.

Hope that kind of helped mate

Yeah but I think my unit took new recruit up to Inverness for 6 week summer challenge which concentrated on phase 1 then CIC followed straight after, phase 1 trained guys were brought up to do CIC with the rest of the guys from our unit
