I didn't think of doing pullups on a tree, i'll do that instead lol.
Thing is I got a letter from the ADSC docs saying im not eligable for service until my braces are out in june 09. So now i've got a whole load more time to train, which is kind of a mixed blessing
I tried pull ups for the first time today i managed to do 4, i did them on a goal post hope to improve within the next week and half so ive got something good to tell my recruiter about my fitness in my interview.
How many pull ups are you guys/girls managing to do?

That sucks jah, id hate to be deferred for something, but you'll definitley be fit enough when that time comes around so good luck with your training.
Look at the other side of it Jah, you'll have another year of life experience behind you and you'll already be through all the initial injuries that we all have to push through with shin splints and that. How many guys have turned up to full training, still recovering from slight injuries? Stick at the training and you'll hit the ground running so to speak. All the best.
Just when I thought I was going to have to intervene you people go all kissy-face
Keep it up,I love it when I don't have to type my fingers to the bone
I find pull-ups fair hard but you need to do them in the army, i can curl 25k but only do 16 pull-ups, i find them hard to do but when i first tried doing them i could only do about 6 practice makes perfect mate
I had my interview last week and i got questioned how many pullups i could do i said 10-15 & he said ok so if i said do 10 pullups you could do them & i said yeah. He then took me downstairs to a pullup bar and aim for a minimum of 8. So i think the ADSC maybe 8 pullups?
It was fine, just questions about what you do for a living, whats your family life like, theres a high chance you'll get posted to other countires how do you feel about being away from family, what do you do to train etc etc. Then you stand up and do your icebreaker, if that interview is successful you then book an interview with the sargeant major wich is just the same thing you did with the sargeant really.

You have to stand up infront of the people that your with at ADSC and talk for 2minutes, tell them about you, your family, your hobbies, what preparation you did, your goals in life, most memorable moment in life etc. Its a bit nerve wreckin at first but once youv'e done it infront of your recruiter and sargeant major its ok. Just keep good eye contact, speak clear, dont speak to fast dont speak to slow & dont speak robotic lol.
