pjft passed

Post by chilley1991 »

hey every one,

passed my fitness test to day in 10 mins 50

the p.i at the gym was really helpful.

seemed strange tho he was surprised i ran it in 10 mins and said most recruits don't bother trying and just go for the 12 mins
but i thought i'd try any way.

right can any one actually tell me what happens now
well i know i have the 2 day thing but can any 1 clarify what happens

thanks alot x

hey, thanks alot

the 1.5 mile was hard but tbh if you keep going through at the run only 400m to go or come on push your self for the 200 meters thats how i got through it

along as u have a very basic level of fitness i believe you will do the 1.5 mile within a good time.

as for training before i only really played football 2 times a week. but have now just made a training schedule to get me fit for halton.

Im going in as ict specialist
any idea to what you want to go in as?

With your spelling and grammar you will not be"Going In"As anything.
Watch your capitalisation as well.
If you simply can't be bothered to spell correctly then do not bother posting here.

If possible id like to go in as a Fireman.

I can already do the mile and half in 10.20 its just a killer.

Do you have to do the sit ups, press ups, dorsal raises, and step ups at the PJFT?

Cheers

Sorry I will try with grammar

In your pjft you will have to do 16 sit ups in 1 minute
and 9 press ups in 1 minute

But these are not a pass or fail.

The only thing you can fail on is the run.

I never had to do any push ups or sit ups for my pjft!!

If you only have to do that small number what is the point anyway?

To get to your Impossible you've got to start somewhere. You've got to start with that first big, really important step.

PJFT - Key word being TEST. You'd be surprised how unfit some people actually are. Because the levels are so low, doesn't mean you have to stop there.

Excuse me but i think i have a very good grasp of how fit people are!!!

IM A FITNESS INSTRUCTOR AND PERSONAL TRAINER!!
And have been for the last 7 years.

Anybody who cant do more than 12 pressups in a minute should be lined up and shot!! If they really want to get into the military they should at least prepare to a standard much higher than that.

In conclusion the levels should be much higher for PJFT!!
