When I was nine i was diagnosed with juvenile idiopathic arthritis in my right knee and had recurring visits to hospital until around 10-11 years old. I also had a couple of operations to inject steroids (my right leg is still built like a brick sh*thouse!). I haven't had any pain or problems with my knee since then and I am reasonably fit.
Can any of you guys clear this up for me, what do the army think of arthritis? Do they just not like Rheumatoid arthritis?
Should I bother going for my AOSB briefing interview?
cheers
oh and p.s. I am a civi

Regardless of what service you want to join if your not 100% fit then your chances are nil on joining up. Once your in and cracked training then if you get a problem later on in your career you may be lucky and remain in the Forces.
