Few points to this post... I’m afraid its mainly just to vent my annoyance though! :evil: (sorry for being a moody git)

First off have any of you ever have one of those work outs where everything you do seems to screw up?

Went off as usual today training and ever movement I did I seemed to feel a funny strain or not be able to get into a comfortable rhythm with...

narked me right off... my training is really getting to me at the moment seems like every time I get over a injury a new one appears.

Now I’ve shifted two chest infections, a bad back and doggy noise (kept bleeding 3-5 times a day!) my calves are messing me around! Every time I go out to run by the one mile mark the lower part of the calve and possibly my Achilles tightens right up and gives off a dull kind of pain. Stopping me from flexing it fully.

Going the doc tomorrow... anyone else experienced this sort of pain or any possible ideas as to what it may be?

I've never had any problems up until about two months ago... now its all going to pot!

I know in the grand scheme of things this is tiny... look at those lads who spend months on end in Hunter etc but I just needed some where to get it off my chest :roll: I'm also curious about my calve :-?

Sadly it also looks like my bout of injuries has screwed up any homes of placing any where decent at the county this track season.

Any help or advice is very very much appreciated!

Try taking some time out to rest up and recuperate. Just sit back and relax, don't do anything strenuous for a couple of weeks and then go back to some light training and build up from there.

Having a break every once in a while does your body the world of good.

i got the same sorta prob. my right ancle an calve seize up when i got for a run and it makes running uncomfortable same thing afterwards!! i tried taking a break and it didnt work but just keep stretching it before, after and alot thoughout the day and it relieves the tension on it!
i jus had a really good but terrible training session i been training my ass off to hit 60 push ups in 2 mins dun it today!! wooo :D but when i went for a run i had to stop to catch breath!! thas really bad!! cos i can usually get 1.5 miles in 9.30 easy but was jus over 10.30 today!! :x

I'd second the advice to take it easy for a week or two. That might be enough to fix things.

Remember you only get fitter when you rest...

As has been said, you're still young (and I mean that in the least patronising way possible :) ) and it's true what they say about growing pains. I used to have some mad aches and pains when I was in my late teens for no apparent reason.
As frustrating as it is, try taking a few weeks off as others have suggested.

I'm still a bit of a gimp sometimes to be honest (thus my forum name)! If I were ever to make it through RT I reckon I'd be one of the biggest gimps ever to earn a green beret :D

Fair enough lads, cheers for the advice... Coach did say it's possibly just growing pains... being 15 (16 next month) I understand I’ve still got a fair few years of growth left. Just hope I don't grow too much taller, being 6 foot 1" ish already :o big is nice... massive is just cumbersome! :P

Will lower it down for a week or so... Probably just do me usual boxing sessions (they where causing me no fuss) and then some swimming and stretching along side that.

I'm happy to be called young (I am! :lol: ) just means I’m full of energy, recover quickly and have plenty to look forward too :P
