Kit list for TG course

Post by hopeful gunner 17 »

Hi everybody
I have just been issued my kit list for my TG course, and I saw that it says 'jogging trousers (not ron hill)'
I was wondering what does it mean by 'not ron hill'? :-?

Ron hill make running tights, not the only manufacturer but the most common; and its what they're known for. MY best guess would be they're saying they don't want running tights but looser jogging trousers. It is only a guess though, someone may know the definitive answer to this.

Actually no, it's because one of the other lads in your flight is called Ron Hill, and he's well known for running in his underwear, so he won't need to bring jogging trousers.

The privilege of wearing Ron Hill tracksters is now officially the preserve of HM Forces Wife. They are normally worn with stilettos, a Mayfair cigarette and Ratner’s jewellery.
Typically seen whilst carrying out official duties; such as visiting the NAAFI shop, coffee mornings and the on-base Thursday night disco (only when their husband’s unit is on tour).
