Hi lads just wondered if anyone could help me out, I have heard from a quite reliable source that the 24th of February intake has been cancelled. I'd just like to know if there is any truth in this as I am due to join on this date. Obviously I'll be asking at the careers next week when I'm due to swear my oath of allegiance.
If there's no replies till then I'll let you all know what's been said.

How far are you into the application mate?
I applied last year, sent off the medical papers in december and was told this is the longest part. She wasn't lieing had a phonecall yesterday saying I missed a question out. She now has to find out wether she can just tick it herself and send it on or wether my GP has to tick it.

I'm not sure how often they usually are but I was in the careers office looking through 'Pegasus' (airborne journal) and apparently they have been launching extra "surge platoons" as part of an effort to have the regiment fully manned by 2009. It is supposed to be Para Regiment training company but there are now 420 recruits and 60 staff, approaching battalion size!!
So basically they will be more frequent.
