TG course

Post by marmaduke80 »

hi i got around a month untill i start my TG course and if anyone dont mind can someone please help me out with a few small questions thanks.

am i aloud to decorate my bed space ie posters?

i know its going to be alot off work would would i ever have time to myself? like just relaxing on my bed or going on the internet or even playing a video game :D

where it says that im not aloud out off the base withing the first 4 weeks dose that mean i would have to still work on the weekends?

at my PGAC the gunners say you need to have a good sense off humour but dose that mean the gunners training me will have a laugh to or is it all work for them?

thanks i do have a few more questions but cant think off them at the moment. and yes i know i should have asked these at the AFCO but i was just so happy i got in i forgot :D

Do me a favour and run your posts through a spell checker before hitting the submit button in future please.

I'd be very surprised if you were allowed to decorate anything at all, except for hanging a few photos on the inside of your locker doors.

You will have free time, probably not all that much though, as a lot of your 'free time' will be used on personal admin and block jobs.

Yes, you probably will be training over the first weekends. Don't panic though, as they may relent and let you go to the NAAFI.

Yes, your instructors will probably both at laugh with you, and at you. If you can't laugh at yourself on occasion you may find life difficult.

Best of luck.

Mate I'm not being nasty or anything, but are you for real???? :-?

There is that little thing called DETERMINATION, which is what you need when your feeling tired or think you can't go on. I'm sure you will get encouragement but a lot of it must come from you!!

And as far as I know, a sense of humour is a must in the military, that's how you get through all the s**t!

Well at my PGAC I found the 3 miles easy and the speed march I was in the middle, not so easy but I completed it okay I'm just really nervous. and when I say I can go any further I mean I'm either tucking up sick or blood.

And sorry I meant to say if im doing some kind off running exercise at my TG course and if i end up at the back off everyone can they kick me out?

but to be honest im more worried about my swimming but i am keeping that up.

sooooooorry im just really nervous  if this dont work out for me i know i would waste my life

You haven't got anything to worry about. If you found 3 miles easy then 4 won't be bad. Then you will get built up to 5, 6, 7 miles etc see what I mean. :D

If you do all the PT sessions then I think you will be fine!

If your worried about swimming, get down your local pool (or river, seaside etc) and get practising! :D
