When i read of people settling here, then preaching their hatred of our country, and organising men to fight against our soldiers in iraq / making risin etc etc it does make me very annoyed.

Annoyed is a bit of a understatement, these people are preaching sedition and those attending are no better just because they listen. They’re not trying to bring a better way of life or more freedom, they’re wilfully trying to change a culture that isn’t theirs and force their rules upon others. These extremist preachers and worshippers should be repatriated before this situation gets even more out of hand and there’s a backlash.

I think its a minority though, and that the vast majority of muslims in britain arent like this. The danger is, that those who donthold extremist views will be caught in an eventual backlash.

If they have gone through this process and then decide that they’re not British then they have broken the covenant and the right to be British citizens, and should be ejected from the U.K. right smartish.

Ahrr see we could kick them out!!! But I have a better idea, Britain has roads that need re-building and train tracks that need re-laying streets that need cleaning etc. so why not take there away there citizen ship and lock them up as prisoners of state, then we could make them work of there debt to our wonderful country, by them re-building it, it would also be a good cost cutting devise as we could feed them only gruel not pay them, house them in sub standard accommodation and then when they have paid there debt to our society we can ship them back to where they came from...

I bet they would be loyal to the country and sing what ever we bloody told them to...

im not personally against the idea but which anthem mate? God save the Queen? republicans would probably complain more. and the others are a bit too old fashioned. verses like "wider still and wider may thy bounds be set" sound a bit too warmongerish and imperial for modern society i think. im all in favour of something else tho...

Well I would say God save the Queen.

PLEDGE

How many legal and illegal immigrants live up to this OATH and PLEDGE ? How many would join the army up if this country came under attack. The way I feel is that if you are born in Britain you are British citizen you can not become British citizen, if you come from another country.

That's how I feel, that's my view.

hold up im wearing the blue suit and my grandad as an officer in the British Indian Army also went through 2 years of hell in Burma during WW2 (which he got an MC for). so dont generalise mate.

ur talking a tiny minority. theres only about 2 mosques that have extremist preachers, one run by Captain Hook and the al muhajiroun dude in the other. out of about 800 mosques thats a quarter of a per cent.
as for those brits in gitmo bay, im not gona condone them. they did what they did and they should accept the circumstances.

being serious a second, if someone settles here, do you feel they should make any effort to integrate. And do you think they should feel some sort of loyalty to the country or is it fine to view it as just a place to live?

As for there only being a minority of anti west extremist churches. It doesn’t matter even if there were only one it would still be too much!!! and as for their culture I don’t care either do I care about there religion, they are now in my country, and there for should accept my culture and our religion. If I were in their country that is how they would expect me to be is it not???

Midi, our culture is one of freedom of speech I guess, but at what price???
We have already seen these bastards doing anti west protests in London, and claiming freedom of speech. Personally I think he should of been hung for that, and so should everyone who went along to it.

If they don’t swear elegance to the crown and country, why should they be allowed the same freedoms I have???

i just feel if people dont believe the words on that document for citizenship then they shouldnt sign it.

everytime i pick up the paper i read of utter stupidity

such as an asylum seeker, in the country for five years, not yet bothered to learn english, yet made a counciller (despite not being granted permenant residence yet)

or granted legal aid to sue the goverment, because their free 250k house doesnt have a garden

etc etc etc

yet part of me wonders about the motives of the papers im reading. The telegraph is the main paper i read daily and is fairly subtle. The daily mail (which i read for the femail section mainly) is far more venimous but they both have a vey anti asylum seeker message.

Are we getting only part truths, or has the country gone barking mad as they suggest?

Personally i find it very hard to know the truth of the matter, as every source seems to have some sort of bias

see the problem is the govt have been giving out passports like sweeties without really attaching any conditions to it for the last 20 yrs or so.
only now we're being told of plans for citizenship tests etc. why'd it take so long?? every other country does them. i agree completely no Oath, no passport!

as for the tabloids they're just comic books really arent they? i dont take them too seriously.

All I know is in the last five years aids has risen 400% in Britain, child prostitution has risen, gun crimes have risen, muggings and assaults have risen, drugs have been easier to get a hold of, street crime has also risen, beating and gang fights have risen as well, why??? Have the British people gone made, I don’t think so, is it because of the sheer amount of foreign scum (not genuine refugees) have been let in and are now causing problems YES and the sooner there ousted the better

As I said Midshipman 786 that's my view which I am entitled to. Just because your father fought that means does not mean every other immigrant did does it. Some legally immigrants will fight, but what I am saying is how many wont.


I have respect for your father and for what he did for his country and mine. But there are loads of free loads out there that would not even think twice about fighting for this country, even thow they claimed asylum here.
