done pjft now injured

Post by james100100 »

Alright guys

I passed the PJFT a few weeks back and now can't run. I think I've got sciatica which is quite painful I've seen a doctor and he has referred me to someone but they're taking ages to get back to me

I can run no faster than 10kmh at the mo for about 7 mins but it is a common running injury and there is treatment
I'm just wondering if I should tell the AFCO about it as if I get called up for Oct theres no way I'd be fit enough they reckon I won't be called up till March time but I'm a bit worried.

Please watch your spelling and capitalisation, remember textspeak isn't allowed here either.

Hey mate hows it going. If I was you I would tell the AFCO about your injury and tell them that your getting sorted. You've already passed your medical so they can't bin you mate.

Good luck :)

You have to sign an agreement that you are medically fit enough to attend HMS Raleigh, if you go to HMS Raleigh with an injury you could even be discharged. Basically you have to inform the AFCO of any changes to your situation before joining Raleigh and any false information (or information not giving) will be counted against you, as I said you could even be discharged.

They even told me (I'm not injured) that I should be careful to not pick up any injuries as it will only postpone my entry date. That is all it will do, so don't worry about it and let them know.

Go through the pain barrier, phiz is non existent after Raleigh
and the training is the easiest I've seen..

Capitals again!
