i know your not trying to put me down Alfa.
i am prepared for the worst, but i just down understand how they can say i was fine to go on operations with the TA, but not the regs, it should be same for both. Oh well, i'll just have to wait and see. if they say no, i'll probably end up back in TA

will this stop me from joining?
are you sure? i was going by my experience with the royal marines when I had mine I had the same one as the people that were going for the regular marines. The medical for the reserves is not the same as for the regs
maybe it's different for the army but i find it hard to believe that there would be 2 medical standards when both can be deployed operationally and essentially do the same job.

i haven't lied about anything, ive been 100% honestbigdog wrote:In response to Borisimo, I have had medicals for both regs and ta and the regs were a lot more thorough. The training is a lot more intense for the regs, as well as the issues concerning living with large numbers of people. Im pretty sure the ta let more people in, they get given a more thorough medical before being mobilised, and there are plenty of jobs for people who dont achieve the medical standards to do. The marines are probably a lot more thorough, after all they are dealing with a lot less people
I dont think you should ever ever lie about your medical history, no matter how well you feel or if you think you are over it. The forces have these regulations for a reason. How would you like it if whils on ops a vital member of the team could not perform and put your, and your muckers life at risk because of an underlying condition that he had hidden form the army. Its an incredibly selfish thing to do

Sorry mate but the Navy say it's a no-no

These may well be blanket restrictions across all 3 forces. Best bet is to keep at your AFCO for final clarification.
Good luck
