PRMC PASSED - 7th/10th November

Post by darrenrugby18 »

HOOFIN!

Well lads me and Dave (TheWedge) have earned our new shiny boots!

The course was hard (especially bottom field deterimination test i found, anyone who said its easy isnt tryin hard enough) but well worth it now we have those boots. Met some good lads on the course Dave being one of them, who also got some excellent scores almost maxing everyone of them (i'll let him post his own scores). I'll write an in depth diary over the weekend to give some other lads an insight into what to expect, including the little things, but in the mean time here are my scores:

3 miler = pass

Bleep test = 11.4

Push ups = 65

Sit ups = 63

Chin ups = 6+ (the corpal had some fun with me and i actually did 10  )

Bottom field = 3.47

In the mean time anyone going on a PRMC soon remember NEVER GIVE IN! and give 110%

Hello all, we have not had any PRMC passes on here for a while so me and DarrenRugby18 are happy to oblige!

Firstly, big thanks to DarrenRugby18, top bloke and mfat member who went balls out and reaped the rewards. I like him am writing a more detailed diary of the whole 3 days and will either drop it under a new thread and hope it gets sticky or I will provide a link to save mfat's bandwidth!, so don't bother asking questions here. This post is really just to give people a little extra encouragement and show them that even old boys like me can make the PRMC grade!. I will re-iterate what Darren said. Anyone who says PRMC is a breeze was either on a sloppy quota filling course (I don't believe such a course exists!) or was not trying hard enough, simple as that.

3 miler = Pass (max)

Bleep test = 12.10 (max 13)

Push ups = 54 (max 60)

Sit ups = 75 (max 80)

Chin ups = 6 (max 6)

Bottom field assault course = 3:18

Gym test 2 = Pass

As far as I know from what the corporal told me, each test except the 3 miler is worth a maximum of 6 points (36 total). I was the only recruit who got full points for every test. The training team could see me going balls out and seemed happy to give me max points on the tests. As Darren said, it was Hoofin!. I gained major respect for the corps and training team. I can't wait to get a starting date through, probably looking sometime at the start of January.

If anyone disagrees with the points system then please correct me.

Well done lads! Looking forward to reading your diarys too.

Get excited and nervous about my own PRMC now but I suppose you get what you want as long as you put the time in before hand.

We started with 43 and 29 passed. To the best of my knowledge, this is how we lost them.

3 Miler: 3 wrapped
Gym Test 1: 4 voluntarily withdrew
Bottom Field: 1 withdrawn because of injury, 3 withdrew volantarily
Final brief: 2 had failed, 1 got given PRMDC

Lost 14 out of the 43, the 14th man got the PRMDC though but still failed the course.

Big well done to both of you, you deserve it.

Dazzler: we'll have to have that drink next weekend if I manage to pull my finger out and pass mine.
Aways look on the bright side of life.
