Good to hear. I take it you had to the matching wire test as part of your medical? What exactly does this entail? I assume it's not as simple as matching wires up that are the same colour.

actually mate that is excactly what it is, there is about 20 odd wires that have been cut in the middle and all you have to do is join them up, most of them are bold colours like blue, yellow etc, but some have 2 colours like blue with thin yellow stripe, i didn,t have a bloody clue what the colours were i just knew they were the same colours

there are two other tests that you do, the first one is the book with all the dots and you have to read the numbers, out of 15 numbers i managed to get a grand total of 1 correct (the first one which sticks out like a sore thumb, lol)

the other test that you do is sit opposite a little back box with the room in total darkness, on this box there is 2 small LED lights one above another, the lights can light up either red, green or white, you just have to shout what colours are light up, for eg, red top, green bottom or white top red bottom etc, this actually sounds pretty easy but i still managed to fail this miserably

i would imagine that if i can still get through the tests then anyone can, hope this helps 8)

Thanks for your help Jimbob. It's good to know what to expect, even if I can't train for it!

I had to do the coloured dots number thing on Saturday when I went for my eye test and I got most of them right so hopefully it won't be too bad for me.
