I have been doing the morning circuit from the Royal Marines green booklet. I am currently building up to the reps that they have given. I was wondering if I should aim to beat the reps once I have got to the level in the book? Thank you for your time.

RM Circuit Training
yer try to out do the number of reps by a long way, this will prepare you for the prmc..its all about endurance,on my prmc we got alot of push ups alot of the time for various things and you need to be able to do them.you need to be capable of doing them most of the day and not just 60 for gym test 1...I started doing the circuit training straight after I first went down to the afco and was given the booklet.. even then I found the reps were no way high enough...just gradually build up the rep levels..
The idea of circuit training is to give the whole body a workout with little or no rest in between.
You want to use as many different muscle groups as possible. What exercises you use is entirely up to you.
I would recommend that if you are going to put (for example) press ups in there twice, do one set Marine style (elbows in) and the other wide arm so you're working different muscles.
