We got quite a few hefty guys on our intake. You don't do your real PTa (1.5 mile) until week 5, thought have a practice at end of week 1. Was a shite day, and only about half my class would have passed if it was real :/ I normally run max 9mins on a treadmill, and got 11mins in the practice, deary me.
The physical standard isnt that high here to be honest. And anyway, most guys go down the gym in free time, and along with the PT sessions, anyone will be ready to pass the PTa after 5 weeks.
Not to sure on the BMI and blood pressure stuff, I got a brief check on mine at my first medical, she wrote it down, never heard anything after that...I'm 6ft, 11.5 stone.
The medical while here is basic too...just a bunch of security questions, didnt have to do any bending, shaking or nut grabbing.
