Yeah I decided during my third year that I wanted to join and they are going to sponsor my final year. Why can't you apply? I applied while still at uni. Just glad all the waiting is over! I knew I would find out in September but as every day went by I just became more frustrated! :x

I bet the feeling you have now makes it all worthwhile though!

Infact, ive got two years on my course remaining and im going to go and apply now to see if i can get my final year sponsored! Nothing to lose.

Have a beer on me.

It was like when you open your exam results envelope. You try and read an entire page in 2 seconds to see if you have passed or failed! Feel absolutely amazing now though, I put in a lot of work before the AIB and I am just glad it wasn't all for nothing. I would recommend you apply as soon as you can as you don't want to be applying whilst you are doing your exams later in the year.

Going to go out celebrating tonight -after I have been to see Hearts put Livingston out of the CIS cup- and get incredibly drunk. Apparently the drinks are on me! :-?

just a cautionary note for applying when at uni, unless you get a bursary or similar ongoing commitment, the AIB pass will expire after 12 months, so if you are just applying through the normal route, be sure to do it less than 12 months before you finish!!
