Ammunition Technician

I want to go into this i think as promotion is excellent but they do a lection stage at the end of your 12 weeks basic. What happens if i fail this selection do i ahve to stay in RLC(royal logistics corps) as that'll be a bit of a joke.

Well if selections just writing down what trade you want to be i think youve failed :P  Tseng i really wouldnt go into a certain trade just because its got fast promotion if you prove yourself at a certain merit im sure youll get promoted as fast or as near in another regiment/corps. By the way whats wrong with the logistic corps :P You go down to ATR Pirbright and tell them there a joke

why is being a loggie a joke

ok they might not be wary like the paras or the marines but they're probably taking bigger risks at the moment with all the roadside IDEs going off

look at the medals that are being awarded to members of different corps in recent times, they're not all going to frontline soldiers, where is the frontline in basra?

They've always dished out gongs to the blanket stackers. It's to make them feel good about themselves. They get them for pissing straight :P

In all seriousness - front line troops are no good without support. The boys in the rear are just as important as the guys in the front and a qualification in stores is better in civvy street that that of gunnery instructor anyday.
