Liverpool Half Marathon

Post by sinno »

Got my POC coming up 1 week today. Finished it in 1:42. Never ran this distance before and feel lucky that it was so close to my real test next week. Did anyone run this? Has any of you ever ran it; if so what was your time?

Looking forward to next week now! I just need to blast the press-ups this week and I think my physical will go ok. I left my job last friday aswell so I could get a lot of reading done.

1:42 is a good time if it's your first ever competitive half marathon. I'm running a 16 miler in Kingston this weekend and got my race number in the post a few days ago- it's 666. A bad sign if i ever saw one!

Start/Finish was sefton park mate; croxteth road, princes ave, parliment street and then right along the front past the Liver Building before a U-turn back up to the park. The second run through the park was the killer!

666- good luck!! Put a shamrock in your pocket or something to even it out!
