Tell your AFCO to check their dates, if they're right I'm doing Final Ex during my time off! Easter leave is definitely 25th March - 10th April. Have fun down here...you won't want to come back after two weeks off having only just done Foundation, but it does get better...slowly!
So i take your at lympstone now, can you double check with some one there, i dont want to phone up my AFCO and sound like a tit trying to prove them wrong  .

You can argue with my stripey then! Those are definitely the dates, I get back from Final Ex on the 23rd, if you're still unsure ring your AFCO and politely ask them to double check as you've heard different.

can you double check that is the actual leaving date for easter? as i dont want to phone up my AFCO to prove them wrong, and then feeling like a tit  . But yeah i thought when i was told it was a bit silly, why would they get you ready in foundation for only 5 days, send you home for 2 weeks to have to start again straight away.

You may find the dates might change as I joined 2 weeks before x mas leave, our troop was originally going to join a week before x mas but they said it would be pointless so we came a week earlier, the down side being we all had to do a week extra in foundation block after leave to let the sylabus catch up to us (so 3 weeks foundation instead of the normal 2!), which is called a buffer week which is more like a "seen off" week, however we did move in to San Carlos block so it was not all bad!

Ring up your AFCO to confirm but I dought they will send you down on the wrong dates.

Oh yeah quick question... If we start foundation just a week after CrouchmasterT, then where does his troop go for the second week ? Or will we be put somewhere else ?

Yeah you'll move out of Foundation early, at least that's what the last troop in your situation did.

BTW, those leave dates are definitely correct for CTC, we've had the request forms out already. The AFCO may be getting confused cos some (or all?) of the rest of the Corps is a week earlier.
