Intelligence Corps and the Army Air Corps
Has anybody had any experience with the Intelligence Corps because i am interested in joining and wanted to know more about life in the Corps and any other general information that you think could help me decide. I am also looking into the Army Air Corps so any info on that would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

Well, the Intelligence Corps was always my first choice anyway but i will think about what i want to get out of my time in the Army before i fully commit. I would prefer to go into the Int Corps because of the range of jobs it seems to offer so i would still like to hear from anybody who has served in the Corps just to hear first hand what these jobs are like.
Proud Salopian,
Without me pissing on your chips.....
What makes you think that you will come up to scratch for the Int Corps??
Reading back your previous posts, you tried and failed to get into Int in the RAF cos you failed the test, and were instead offered the choice of steward or a cook.
Since then you've wanted to join the RFA, the RNR (cos you say that the Navy was your first choice but that contradicts something you said earlier when you said the Crabs were your first choice because of your grandparents), possibly the TA, and now all of a sudden we have.....
My opinion, from reading your posts, is that you are not the type of person that the Int Corps looks for.

Perhaps its the idea of joining up that appeals to you, and not actually the doing. You still haven't got very far in the recruitment process after joining the Forum.... like 18 months ago.Well, the Intelligence Corps was always my first choice anyway

pisses me off the way people snipe at keen young lads on this site.we were all in the same posn at some time in our lives.its got to the point where people are checking other peoples previous posts.insecurity or just sad? youngsters are going to have to learn how to deal with ass holes whilst there serving,do they really have to start now?

As Del said..."Who is doing the sniping?"
Proud Salopian was enquiring about joining MY Corps.
I think I have a good idea of the type of person my Corps is looking for.....so far, from what she has written, Proud Salopian is not what my Corps looks for.
Oh and part of the job involves collating information.....its a difficult habit to break, so if you wish to call me an arsehole or whatever, for reading a bit of background info before giving my opinion, fill your boots cos I really couldn't give a shyte.
wasnt refering to you deld.people come on here for advice.sometimes they get good advice from people who know what theyre talking about and sometimes not.before you start i`m not making any assumptions on the advice given in this subject and the people giving it.lets not forget that joining the forces were choosing a career not a job.its only right that people have doubts,i know i did.its the fear of the unknown.do we know proud salopian? do we really know if he`s suited to the int corps.i thought thats what the recruitment process was for, starting with the moment you walk into the AFCO,(for those of you looking to join any of the forces there are a awful lot of people working in these AFCO`s who shouldnt even wear the uniform let alone work in recruiting.(not my opinion but FACT)it just seems to me that not only on this subject but on others as well people seem to be judging people instead of helping them.if your helping them by telling them theyre not suited then get in touch with qinetic i`m sure they`d be more than intrested in your methods as theyre always changing the way the recruitment process works.you could save the MOD millions.there are lots of people who join up and dont have the advantage of the extra info available on here and the guys and gals in the AFCO`s are taking a chance if they tell candidates about this website.i would hate for someone to change their mind in choice of career based on what someone else has said on this site after reading what theyve written in previous posts and how long theyve been talking about joining.let the recruitment process do its job. sorry for going on but i feel quite strongly about this.
