I work it out as 16km/h = 6 minute miles, but there again time is needed for it to speed up, so you did it about as fast as the machine would let you Kane.
I worked it out at roughly 20.15km/h to do a 7.23 1.5mile, about 12.6mph
thats what im worryed about, the warmup! on the medical they obvisouly take u into the gym and make you do the 1.5 mile timer, now when i do it in my local gym i seem to cain it out straight away, no build up at all as iv bin doin other exercises around the gym before. How will i go on with the 1.5 mile timer on my medical ? do they let u warm up ? cheers
Yes they make you warm up. For mine I spent 5 minutes on a bike with lowish gear setting and then 5 minutes of stretching, then going over how the machine works and away you go.
fingers crossed with the medical and final interview, how long roughly is it untill u start prmc from being successfull in the interview ? ? ? also iv heard they quiz u at ur interview about history on the marines. do u have to learn alot or just basics ( ie: victoria cross ?, battles etc ) ? cheers
The treadmills I use occasionally at the gym can go up to 21km/h max. I think this might be the absolute max. for mainstream treadmills.
Sandaz, is the treadmill incline set to 1.5-2% to mimick (sp) outdoor running? You should be aiming for around 16km/h on the treadmill for 2.4km for a time of 9 mins.
Question: Is it under 9 mins. for 1.5 mile run we should be aiming for, or is it best to aim for 18-20 mins. for 3 mile run instead?

I do roughly the same, except about lvl 14.5 up until 1.8km then the last 600 mts i just keep increasing the speed usually every 200 mts, Ending up absolutley sprinting for my life at about lvl 17. I usually get a time of around 9:45 sometimes slow, sometimes quicker.
P.S. I think doing 14.5 all the way through will get you a time around 10:40.
