Running Tracks - Miles??
Running Tracks - Miles??
Gonna do some running on an athletics track. How many time round is is for 3 miles or 5 miles. Anyone know?
Is it 6 time round for mile & a half?

Yeh ditch the track head out in the wilderness where the real people are. Honestly though cross country running works more muscles than just track running because of all the hills and slopes. Also the fact that you are never on a flat surface really works the muscles.
915 trp every womans pet, every mans regret.
I like running out and about too...the only problem is that around here, you're likely to tread in many unpleasent dog treats
Runnning around fields and stuff is good for building up ankle strength too, although track/road running is better for building the calfs...something to do with it not absorbing the shock and sending the shock back up your leg when you run...for instance, imagine the pressure your leg takes if you jump 2m onto a road as opposed to onto a bouncy castle.

Lol, I'm off in Navy as a 'tiff, I just browse all the forums
'tiffs get to use the Leading Mess, so we won't be eating poo as far as I'm aware
By the way, hill sprints are great for building your leg muscles up too. Forgot the damned name of it, but alot of the *** exercises help too. Erm, it involves switching paces while running, maybe someone else can fill the name in, lol.
