you get 3 attempts at any criteria test before they boot you out.

1st fail - troop commanders warning
2nd fail - company commanders warning (for discharge)
3rd fail - back to being a sweaty civvy!

There is the 3 times rule and they can kick you out anytime if they dont think you are ready etc. Put a 101% effert in everyday and you should be fine.

People are getting warnings left right and centre in my troop, official warnings at that. They get issued for most minor of offences- i got issued section commander's warning for for forgetting to take trainers into the field and having a speck of rust on the trigger of my weapon. :-? Troop commander's warnings are not uncommon either.
They're given as a kick up the backside at first but i think persistant offender's will ultimately be asked to leave, particularly if the wrong attitude is displayed.

God I must be getting old. Why would you have trainers in the field ? A section commanders warning for rust on your personal weapon ? That's a hanging offence.

You wear trainers in your scratcher if you're doing wet and dry, just so you've got something on your feet if you get bumped.

Had a nice dip in Peter's Pool the previous evening and the rust obviously developed overnight- my corporal aknowledged it was only surface rust and therefore was gonna let me off with just a flanking, ie a 100m leopard crawl through waiste high gorse and then some. :D

However, this merciful attititude was unfortunately short lived when he discovered the missing trainers. Like it was said earlier, these are for when you're sleeping (a rarity) in your slug.
