Not really. You said there were no overseas bases apart from Cyprus. I listed a few overseas bases. Hence you were proved wrong. End of.
Ex-URNU-Student wrote:The last remaining major overseas base was Germany, which was quite close to the Mid East
So what about Cyprus (that you just mentioned). That's pretty major - RAF Akrotiri is farking huge. It's also 'quite close to the Middle East' and is therefore often used as a staging point for operations in the Middle East. Oh, and Germany "was quite close to the Mid East", has it moved?

I meant "major" overseas bases apart from Cyprus. None of the ones you listed come under that category. Theres no fighters based at Gibraltar or the Falklands if im correct? The point I was trying to make is that there doesnt seem much point spending umpteen billions on so many Eurofighters that are going to be so far away from the action when a crisis kicks off.

Whatever you say fella, still doesn't detract from the fact that at this moment in time, there are fighters based in the Falklands and you got your facts wrong......AGAIN!

Keep digging that hole son, you might manage to tunnel all the way through to Stanley if you keep going at this rate
