interview and medical

Post by richjoyce »

Hi all

I've got my interview and medical coming up on the 15th dec for PTI.

I know that in the interview i am gonna be quizzed about myself and on my knowledge of the RAF, it's history and also the PTI trade.

Does anyone know of any other areas that i should be brushing up on in preperation for the interview?.

Also can any one tell me a bit about the medical?.

cheers

Interview - know current affairs and all about RAF - history and present deployment etc and also all about the job (where you will train etc).

Medical - you should have declared any medical probs on your form - if not tell them there - otherwise you may be seen as being dishonest.don't get to drunk the night before as it may lead to a haem trace in your sample and dependent on the criteria for the job could result in further checks. Also if you do have a medical problem be prepared to be referred to a specialist which could take up to 6 months (as in my case).

Most of all - best of luck and relax and be yourself.

Hope this helps.

cheers MG, help's alot!.

In your post you mention alcohol affecting your sample. Do you know if any health supplemments such as protein shakes have a detrimental effect on any sample that is taken in the medical?.

Protein shake is the only supplement i use to aid my gym work but i don't want it to hamper my application.

thanks again
