My arms and pecs are killing me!

Post by MG »

Just started up the local gym weightraining and swimming in preparation for SERE course in Feb - my arms and chest are killing me!

I used to do alot of weights but I can't lift my arms at the moment - and running is out of the question as too painful!

Might have to start listening to Eye of the Tiger to get motivated - fight the pain! :D

Sounds like you have overdone it mate. Take a course of ibuprofen to keep the inflammation down and rest. I done exactly the same thing when I first joined a gym.

Well, sounds like you've broken down the muscles now let them rebuild. They'll be stronger and the endurance in them will benefit, but next few sessions dont do as much.

Just done my 1.5 mile run - in a respectable 9.01 mins

Thank god my pecs are not hurting anymore!

Right I'm off to make a fruit smoothie in my new blender! :D

I feel upset and robbed if I dont feel pain in my muscles a day after training.

I love that pain, its half the reward...the other half is the muscles and increased strength!
