I think to pass for infantry its something like 28, which is easy. Then the score goes up for all the technical trades, with military intelligence being highest job you can get offered.

I think they add on points if you've got A-C GCSEs or A-levels in english science and maths.

Well done :D

I like you spent allot of time on touch screen pub Quiz machines. But I was more then often pissed and used them to prop me up, instead of playing them. Thats why I did not do so well. :drinking: :D

Don't worry too much about BARB scores. If you just miss out by a couple of points, join the same regt/corps doing a different job and then transfer across to the trade you want once you are at Phase 1 Trg. Like a lot of things in the army, once you are in the system there is a lot more leeway and people will give you a bit of slack with your BARB score if you have proved yourself to be a decent chap.

I speak with some authority on this as I was a Tp Comd within an ATR for a year and a half and regularly transferred people between trades even when they didn't quite have the necessary BARB score. The reason for this is that if you were to sit down and take the BARAB test twice you would probably get two different scores: which is the correct score and is it fair to base someone's entire career choice on whether they got 60 or 62 (for example).

Its under 10.30, just use the search function and it will come up. Or better still go and ask your AFCO, or ring them or have your interviews etc and they will tell you.

Im sure you have to do the run in under 11:30 for infantry at RSC but try to do it under 10:30 to be safe.

Good work on the BARB scores all. I should have mine for November time. Quite like to get my hands on the booklet to see the sort of things they ask you. Also, its 4 hours long i have been told by AFCO!!!

30 minutes for the B.A.R.B and about an hour for the Basic skills tests. Just pop in to see your AFCO and he will give you a booklet and keep reading it over and over. The starting questions on the skills test are written for an 8 year old.

As long as you read the booklet the BARB is easy.

Only bit that might throw you off is the letter F being flipped around as one of the test. Just practise it. I did and i got 72 points.
