improving maximums

Post by Clarky2213 »

just wondering what everyones opinions are on the best way to improve maximums, press ups, sit ups etc.
should you be doing sets of a set amount eg 3 x 20 or sets of maximums?

To improve my maximums on press ups I do about 160 a day and built up from sets of 15 to 55 now (after a real hard session at the gym).

Once you cant do anymore properly, drop to your knee's and continue doing them until you cant do any. your press up scores will go up real quick.

when you say drop your knees, does that mean you do like a female military press up?

To improve on maximums just do more of the exercise more often its a pretty straight forward answer for a simple question im suprised you didnt work that one out for yourself.
Listen in men give 100% or i will thrash you till your eyes bleed!

Try this,

Get yourself a deck of cards, shuffle them, then place the cards down.
Pick up the card on the top of the pile, whatever the number is on the card; do that number of press-ups.

If you pick up a Jack, Queen, King, Ace; Do 11,12,13,14 reps respectively.

Pick up the next card and repeat. Continue to do this, take as many rests between card pick-ups as you like.

Try and get through the whole deck.

If you manage it you will have done 416 press-ups.

Volumization is the key here
Pitch, pitch, Goddamn your soul
The more you pitch the less you'll roll
Or roll, roll, you sonofabitch
The more you roll the less you'll pitch.
