Re Join
Re Join
Hi there,
I made the biggest mistake of my life when i chose to opt out of training in week 7 due to!!!!!!!! a bloody women.
Is there anyone out there who is a rejoin, I was in 825 troop, I have always wanted to re join but im 26 now and time is running out.
Do re joins still get more shit than the others from the training team?.

I held Out for 4 years for a Bloody women, and put off joining for her to go and cheat on me in the end. I'm gonna be 28 in a couple of months and I've only just passed PRMC so at 26 You have a bit of time yet, but I wouldn't waste any more time on ya women if it's something you wanna do, She'll only be shaggin some one else 2 months into your training anyway so forget her (if you can) and crack on!

I left the Army 4 weeks before passing out of phase 2 because of a woman. I was due to go to Germany with my regiment, and conveniently she said she was pregnant, and wouldn't come with me. She made life difficult, so out I came. I'm trying to get back in now. There were 3 rejoins in my last training platoon, and they didn't get any sh*t. In fact, they were made section seniors because they knew what they were doing a bit more.

Hey Feb 02
I was in 870 troop and opted out at week 6. I'm looking at re-joining in a couple of yers time when I'm 19.
There was a re-join in my troop, who was a good lad and helped everyone through the first few weeks.
I wouldn't think the training team woulg give you any real grief. However I think you would be expected to show a certain amount of responsibility and leadership due to youe experience.
If you are 26, best get a move on a fella!

I had to leave a couple of months ago now at wk 22 (med discharge!).I miss it so much its just so boring at home! Anyway in 5 years Ill be 26 myself and heading straight back down to CTC luckily the Irish Army have decided to take me(5yr contract!),lucky ehh? Jaggers coming to and is considering going back after his PDF stint ,he can be damn sure Im going to talk him into it!
Anyway lad being a Re-join tends to be a good thing as you will have a better idea of what your at ,and dont worry about the team my troop had a scouse lad who left (for family reasons 2yrs earlier)at wk 24 and the team loved him look him up when you get to CTC hes on the Kings Badge wall!!! Point taken!
Crack on lad! Good luck!

Thanks for all your words of wisdom, I have been in touch with the careers office and it looks like they are ok with me re-joining, I passed my last PRMC back in Nov 2001, good fun but hard work, looking forward to the bottom field again..... I will try to bet my last scores, 63 press ups, 94 sit ups, level 16 on the bleep test and not forgeting the 6 pull ups, thats all you had to do.......

There's a few rejoiners in my Troop, one who got to week 23 and got Hunter'd and was there for nearly 2 years but had to opt out or get MD. They are expected to have better admin and know their stuff eg. our DL told him to show us how to pack a bergen, make a bedblock etc.
Passed PRMC 17th December 2003
Started Basic 5th July 2004 880 Troop, Jan 2005 886 Troop, June 2005 893 Troop, July 2005 895 Troop
Got MD 3rd November 2005

Feb 02, i was a rejoin, bastardos, they told me all about the coin i was going to get, they didn`t tell me about the tax, food and accomodation, this that and the other, and when i finally marched up for my pay, i had to give them some back for the Globe and Buster
. took me 18 months to get back in, but never regretted it. In fact, i think i was more relaxed the second time around
