You obviously don't read some of the reply's to your pathetic posts.
It's quite obviously you that gets on peoples nerves, myself, Ed, Mal, James(future para) just to name a few.
Think before you write (attempt to write)
Tip of the day : Buy a dictionary
Future prediction : The day will come when you realise that the only adversity you will ever have to overcome is your own stupidity, and on this day you will realise this is a bridge too far, and if by some miracle you do happen to be in a military environment you will be found out and kicked royally back into your destined world of burger flipping.
Do not despair though, if one day you do feel as though you have what it takes to step into your world of elite im sure somewhere on here i've read details of the Tesco recruitment process, just imagine being able to tell all the birds that your an armoured trolley pusher, you would be trapping skirt every night.
Keep dreaming action man!!!

Just a thought, but perhaps what Tab and Reflective are getting at is that there's an awful lot of "I'm going to do this, that and the other. Blah, blah, i'm great, me!" and not a lot of much else. I know a fair few people who are exactly the same, I went to school with a lot of them and a few years down the line they are still stacking shelves in a supermarket and still saying that they're going to do XYZ because they're so great.
Actions speak louder than words - people seem to forget that sometimes. This isn't a dig at anyone, so before handbags are drawn and i'm called a Prick or something, bear in mind that i'm just calling it as I see it and i'm not going to lose any sleep over offending someone anyway. So can we all just get our points across without getting arsey and throwing toys out of prams - the Internet is a public domain afterall, and you don't know who is reading what you're typing.
James (Future Para): I'm not sure how relevant this is to joining the Forces as an Officer immediately after finishing your A-Levels, but after my A-Levels I applied to join the Police. Aced the Medical, Fitness and Intelligence tests - no problem! So I got to the Interview stage, confident as you like after slogging my guts out swotting up on Current Affairs, Legal Issues and all things Policey, but still I failed. Why? It was explained to me that I was binned because I had no life experience and said something daft. Now, two years down the line (one year spent working, the other studying for my Degree) and i'm now able to answer some of the questions that previously had me stumped and i've also realised that I couldn't do the job of a Police Officer, because i've been put in some more "interesting" situations since leaving school and home. So mate, what i'm trying to say is that its well worth taking a year out to pursue other options while you make your mind up - and you'll probably realise exactly what you want to do after spending some time pottering about for a while. Either way, definately consider Uni - 'cos if you really are as good as you reckon you are, the Army will pay for your studies.
Just my 2p worth

Fair play AC,
For one, i dont think you can compare the Police to the military. The military take a long time and alot of money to train its officers and they have very specific training for the job at hand. Police on the other hand, have to deal with the public and perhpas experience is necissary for some of the situations you might find yourself in where you are not trained, whereas the military train its officers to command troops who kill anyone they are told to kill. Civvy life is complicated and you might find that civvy experience is ALOT different than military experience.
As for Uni, if the army feels i would do alot better from getting a degree and they are prepared to fund it, i will concider it. I agree with what Mike_b told me (not on militaryforums) about the flexibility and uncertainty of non-graduates, and the fact that your career is not mapped out and you know where you will end up, unlike graduates (to a certain extent.)
I will just have to play every card as it comes at me, and yes, i think i am THAT good
James

Very true, but our Forces are forever taking up peacekeeping roles, and as an Officer your "people skills" are always going to be tested. To cut a long story short, University is an ideal place to develop such "people skills" as it's a very nobber rich (or rich nobber?) environmentjames (future Para) wrote:For one, i dont think you can compare the Police to the military. Either way - good luck matey,

Whatever you think reflective, who gives a fark what you say you have all these opinions etc but you havent even posted if your joining anything or any questions or any decent answers to peoples questions.
Anyway who cares its quite pathetic the way people start agruements outof nothing and persist to be dickheads, anyway ill leave it at that seeing by posting back im lowering to your level.
Yourself, like i sqaid who gives a f@#k. Ed yes a disagreement due to different opinions. Because he knows best as mal once pointed out to me he wasnt even in the paras/army so im led to believe. Mal, good friend far from disliking eachother. James, havent disagreed with him on anything and has shown no reason to dislike as far as i know, only time i spoke to him was in Army trainning forum with a suggestion. It's quite obviously you that gets on peoples nerves, myself, Ed, Mal, James(future para) just to name a few

What the f@#k are you on about Para_recruit? Who has led you to believe that I wasn't in the Paras? Are you suggesting it's Mal?
You're a gobby little shit who lives in Walterland. Do you honestly believe I would waste my fu**ing time on a public forum if I had anything to hide?
You're thick as f@#k and manage to f@#k up every post with your illiterate ramblings! Check the facts before you gob off in future!
So where are they Para_recruit/Mal?
