Dracula's played by a shi'ite actor?!?

On a more serious note....
I think the flick's based in part on the 'Vampire Hunter D' Japanese anime series (from the look of the trailers). Haven't and won't see 'Van Helsing', but the wife's an anime fan ( :o ). Anyways, can't be better than Peter Cushing...

I'm an anime fan, and contrary to beleif, the film has nothing to do with Vampire Hunter D (d standing for Dunpeal) or the anime Hellsing.. The anime hellsing just used the name for the organisation. :)

I went to see it the other week. I didnt think much of it really. It dragged on a fair bit.

It did have one bit which made me laugh. This wooden carriage is being chased by flying demon type things and basically falls down a cliff. After falling for a fair bit the wooden carriage hits the ground and explodes into a giant fire ball. Oh how i laughed. :D

Yup, in every film known to man, if something goes over a cliff, KABOOM!
