PTI words of command

Post by LMDAVIES »

I know this may sound a little chad but I could never work out the PTI words of command for jumping to attention! It is something like..

"With a jump, downwords, arms, stretch, bla bla"

Does anyone know the correct words of command for this action?

Also what are the words of command for the MSC arms out to sides/heel raise intros gym circuit.

"Frontway, sideway and heel raise, bla bla"

It should alway's consist of Caution (what you want to happen), the Pause (momment to think what's wanted) and the Executive (point it happen's)

E.G. To the position of attention...........STILL.

What you are describing is the order in which words of command should be given.

1) name the part/s of the body to be moved.
2) name the kind of movement/s to be made.
3) name the direction/s in which they are moved.

E.G. 'Trunk turning, With alternate arm stretching Sideway"

Your most likely to come across this when doing IMF on the spots in the gym, but the PTI out front will also be demonstrating so as to keep timing's (timing is taken from the word arm for the PTI, who is already demonstrating as you get in to the exercisce).

One Bootneck PTI attached to the RN school of PT (HMS Temerairre) told me about the time he got bored and shouted the following:

"On the command one. Put your heads between your Knees and kiss your Ar*e goodbye. ONE!"

Everything came to a grinding halt. And people say PTI's have no sense of humour!

with a jump, feet together, arms downward STRETCH

with a jump, stand at EASE

foot placing sideways with healraise and ?????, exercise to the left, COMENCE (not sure on this one)

My fav is the ropes bullshit

With your denims on, and in your places for ropes, standbye, GOOOOO

With your right hand on top, as high as you can reach, GRASP

Halfway only, CLIMB

Toes pointing, feet apart, legs AWAY

Right side, MAKEFAST,
Right leg ROUND, left leg ON, left hand DOWN, right arm THROUGH, left hand AWAY

LOOK UP THE ROPE

to the rope RETURN,
LEFT hand, RIGHT hand, left hand on TOP, feet OFF, feet ON

to the top CLIMB

still everywhere, look up the rope
listen in on the ground
UNDER CONTROL to the ground, RETURN

I must have too much time on my hands,
out of hunter once i get back from leave though thank f*ck,
I can spend my time doing something usefull instead of dripping and taking the piss out of PTI's

I find when a PTI shouts GO, it's more like "GO'p". It has a quick P on the end.
i.e - "80% Round the 6 foot wall and back to me, GOp!"
- "20 press-ups, GOp!"
- "10 Miler, GOp!!!"

... etc.

Must be just some PTIs, but me and all the other guys in my troop notice it. It's like - "Goo" with an extreemly quick 'p' on the end, Listen out for it. I think it's popular among certian accents.

And what's wrong with my 'Executive' word's of comand like "GO'p", "Clime" and all are other pro word's to begin on. :x

If we didn't use them, you'd never know when to begin and would finish up permantly in the front support position, banging them out, because you wern't swithced on enougth to start the exercise.

Remeber that are pro word's are not a must do command. :-? They are a 50/50 choice for you to either start the exercise we have detailed or throwing yourself head first into the tank :o :o 8)

All these comment's about the word's PTI's use to begin an exercise, bet you do the same to DL's about there 'Tup Thee' (with a slight lisp) dont you :D

Right, after easter, you'll all tank yourselve's for taking the mickey out of the training staff, and i'll tank meself for taking the mick out of the DL's :D :P :D

Honestly, nod's of today, no respect for there DS, mentor's and Jedi master's :P
