Hello to all.
Hello to all.
Hi everyone, thought I'd join as I've spent more time reading the forums on this site than anywhere else...and I have lots in common with many of the subjects.

No it was us old'uns who paved the way for your(Relatively painless) tat's
My first one was a real driller looked like shite and still does.Me being me I had several more. Some of my latter one's look ok,but I don't see them
the way other people do.Want my opinion?Save your money and get your scrotum pierced instead.Just kidding.
BTW If you ever get to London and feel the need for a tat STAY
AWAY FROM VIC SHIPTON.He had a place in the old Victoria Docks I'm sure he's dead by now but I understand his son took on the business.
Mrs Wholley had her first tat at age 40 and seemed to enjoy the pain.
But having been married to me for a while I guess she's used to it.
Wholley.

I would have to say it was you OldUns who started with the Tattoo bit, but only for the most part criminals and service people. My old man fell into both catagories and had some tattoos which I honestly thought about getting as a lad, however having a massive Pegasus covering my back just wasn't really my thing, same with outlines of bones along his arms and "England Expects" in old English text on his for arms. Then there were the non patriotic ones and the ones he spent for doing time.. such as hand guns and knives as well skulls. I never figured that drunken bastard out.
Kinda got on a rant, welcome to the forum

If a man has nothing he is willing to die for then he isn't fit to live.
Thanks for all the welcomes.
I get my tattoos done in Hereford at 'Skinzophrenic', I've sort of got a bit addicted - very easily done! My husband's starting to get a bit miffed as I have bigger ones than him (just the tattoos) so now I have a little bit more added when he's away and when he comes home and accuses me of extending my ink I simply accuse him of being drunk too often and not taking enough notice of me.

I've only got two tattoos.
Want to get more but I also want to be an oscifer and was told that it was 'not really the done thing old boy, what what'.
Was told by my mates when I got my first one (a few weeks after my eighteenth b-day) that "you'll regret it soon". Well it's over 18 months later and I still don't!

Loz,as an aside I thought fingers and toes were a no go along with necks in the
UK.Last time I got a tat was in New Hampshire,1986 I think.Buggers would not allow me to bring my beer in,so I had to get sheets outside, before said operation could take place.Mk.1 Daughter had her first Tat in OZ a couple of years ago.On her back, she said the outline just about killed her,she never had it completed, what a wuss.
Maybe you should talk to her.
