Since the SAS and SBS now do selection together(hills and jungle),does that mean the SBS now recruits from all the regular forces eg:can you join the SBS from the Paras?
Does anyone know?
Thanks.

This has been discussed many a time. Have a gander using the search to check out what's been said.

But the simple answer to the question is: yes.

Nimbard,

Cobalt gave the short but correct answer, Join the Paras after 3 years pass SAS selection, join boat troop, find you enjoy it and want to do it full time apply for SBS pass interviews and training and hey presto. :o :o

Yes our sneaky boaty (shaky boat) type bubblehead cousins will now take applicants from all. Whether you get in is a different matter. It's like someone said about advertising the other day....you've still got to bloody pass the course! Unless you're blonde and good looking of course.

Try doing the fan in a canoe, now that's nails.

SP10122 & Tab,

The thought of sliding down the Fan is intriguing, but I would not fancy carrying the bloody thing to the top. :o :o :o
