4 Para(TA)

Post by Drew »

Good evening chaps
I am looking into joining 10 company in White city. Is anyone here currently serving in 10 company, or know when the next training intake is? Any information on 4 Para in general would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

Hi Drew

I'm on the next recruit cadre. It starts 29 Aug 2003. At the moment we are all just putting in the time pounding the pavements to get those 10 mile times down before we start. If you get into gear you can probably still make it into this cadre. You'll have to contact the recruiting staff and get all your paperwork sorted asap. 10 company is on block leave until 20 Aug so you may find it tricky to get hold of them but if you want to get into this cadre getting all the documentation filled out and sent in is your top priority. Check the para website for contact details. The first night back training for the recruits is 19:45 Wed 20 Aug. The medical is 08:30 23 Aug and our first weekend starts Fri 29 Aug. (All at White City)

Hope that helps
See you there 8)

Hi Kiwi
Top information mate many thanks, I have written off to White City to see if they can send me the relevant documentation through the post, fingers crossed about making the next cadre. The only problem i have is that my application may take some time to process due to the fact I tried to join the regulars a few years back, and received a discharge due to a knee injury, no probs with it know though. Once again many thanks for the info, and I hope to be getting beasted with you soon!

Kiwi, are there any lads from the last recruit cadre starting this one?

I was on the last cadre, and am trying to get in touch with some of the lads who would be on this one that didn't pass.

Who's doing your training? Sgt Wilson & Sgt Mjr Lyndsey are the ones to watch out for!

Drew

If you don't get a speedy response from 10 coy just whip down to a local TA centre for any old Regiment and ask for the forms to sign up. It's the same documentation for any TA unit. (The TA Enlistment and the Security clearance forms). Get those forms filled out and sent in asap and you should be in with a grin.

Chrisp

I think there is at least one lad from the last cadre that is having another go around. Irish bloke, I think the security clearance must have taken too long last time. I don't have anyone's contact details but I'll have an ask around for 2nd time round guys when we start back.

Haven't started back yet.
Why don't you just pop down to White City tonight?

Hi Kiwi
Received my application form today, unfortunately have weighed up my options and did not appreciate how far I would have to travel to get to White City, I would just not be able to make the training evenings on time due to work. All is not lost though I have got an application pack from 266 Para Battery in Romford, which is much easier for me to commute to. Cheers for your help mate. Good luck. Keep me posted how your getting on.
