Question

Post by Oakers »

Sneaky,
perhaps you can help me out bud? I'm trying to get hold of my Grandads service records which include a stint with the Aussies during Vietnam. I did try the official web sit but it was bloody useless and the people there weren't much better when I asked them. Got any ideas?

Cheers mate

Hi Oakers, You could try these,

http://www.vvaa.org.au

http://www.naa.gov.au/publications/fact ... fs136.html

To my understanding, they might be within the British national archives because he had prior service to Vietnam. Most Brits who served had their records redirected back to Britian, i think.
If you have no luck, let me know, i could ask around and try and find something out for you. You'd better be quick though, because i'm off for six months from the 1st of july. Can't say where. :D
