I think our National Anthem is one of the worst around, why does such a great country have such a poor anthem?

This is a great piece of music, why should we be subjected to such crap?

Granted it does sound like the theme tune to a bizarre tellytubby mutation and the choice of instruments does give it the elegance of a spontaniously combusting goat, but you get the idea and I certainly couldn't be bothered to find a better version .

As I would say to anyone that moans about anything English / British unnecessarily

If you don't like it..... leave the country (Probably what I'll do eventually after the immigrants move into number 10 and start running things)

Did see in a poll a couple of years back that most Britons would prefer 'Land of Hope and Glory' as the National Anthem

I think our anthem is okay, but I must admit that French have a good one,
not much else mind you but than can belt out that tune.

When we gave up God Save The Queen I was a bit upset but our new one has grown on me and I like it now

I be happier with Land of Hope and Glory. Failing that I'd settle for Always Look on the Bright Side of Life.
