Done it again my friend. Now is it;
Parashiting, which would be understandable.
Parachiting, which is neither here nor there.
Parachuting, which is a high risk sport.

Rob, it's just the grammar!

'So, he dies.' Operatic

'Re-enacting a parachiting'. Poetic.

'That went wrong well'. Accuracy and truth.

'Kind of ironic'. Philosophic

The kids got Cahoot!

OK, sticking to the thread.
'Jungle Book'. Lying on a sleeping bag under the stars, Dekhelia, Cyprus, 1971, the whole unit of roughy toughies squealing with joy watching the new Disney film. Suddenly I thought "It shouldn't zoom in there!". That's when the screen and its supports crashed down upon me and the rest of the baggies.
It is a violent war film, there's a fight between the apes and Balloo and Baghera, in the middle.
Middle of a night yomp you would hear, "Ooooobe do, Ah'm gonnna be like yooohoohoo, ahm gonna walk like you, talk like youhoohoo etc etc.
You should talk to somebody who gives a f**k.

BESSIE FILM

Post by Artist »

'The boys from company C'

The film pre-dates Platoon. All about these USMC recruits going though boot camp and also going through Vietnam. No big stars just damn good actors. A very graphic film indeed. I think It came out in the mid 70's. Saw it on the Beeb donkeys years ago. Ifen anyone's got a copy of it would like to borrow it.

Cockleshell heroes is good- have met bill sparks in poole
Heroes of Telemark live about 6-7 hours drive from Rjukan- big musem now
But my favorite is Apocalypse now
U571 crock of shit
It was the polish that first cracked the enigma code then a britishmathematician and finally the Royal Navy that got hold of one

Lrts face it most things out of hollywood, unless with brtish actors or director is usually a bit shady in the truth department

David Hemmings was in a film about paras in France. Most of the film had no dialogue between the actors, just thoughts being spoken. Very good it was, too.
Anyone remember it`s title?
Aye

Shoulders, you missed out Apocalypse Now,
"Street gang, this is Allmighty. Street gang, this is Allmighty"
"Tssssssssssshhhhhhh"
"Never get off the boat"
As Derek will no doubt be aware, the charecter played by Robert Duval("I love that smell. You know what that smell means, boy? It means Bootnecks in the morning") was based on Col Killgore( real name) of the U.S.7th Cav. (real unit) who developed the concept of air assault.

Oh, and A Bridge Too Far. Or as some wag called it "An Hour Too Long"

Btw Shoulders, you`ll never guess what I just bought for seven dollars?
Only Shout At The Bleedin Devil, mate, that`s all :o
